The reading this week really opened my eyes to how little I dream. I want to be a man who does exciting things and glorious things for the kingdom of God, I dream too small. For so long I have been content with just doing what I see as the "normal" track of a human being, but this article made me question that. I think my favorite part of the article was when he said that we need to set goals so big that they can only be done with God's help, and then we can thank him when we do accomplish them.
My life goals
1. Write a novel
2. Visit the town of Kearsley in England
3. Get married
4. Have children
5. Be able to support a family
6. Learn Hebrew
7. Learn Greek
8. Get an advanced degree
9. Get a full time job with a nonprofit
10. Get a dog to go running with
11. Have my very own cat
12. Buy a house
13. Go to Israel- And speak Hebrew there
14. Give my children all-expenses paid honeymoons
15. Run a marathon
16. Read the entire bible
17. Work in the church
18. Spend time as a missionary
This is all I have for now, but I want to begin the process of praying and meditating over goals for my future.
